About The Role

The Legal Assistant will support our enforcement and recovery function, maintaining registers of judgments, coordinating execution and asset-tracing activities, liaising with internal/ external advocates and service providers, drafting enforcement correspondence, and ensuring timely follow-up on judgment orders, garnishments, receiverships, attachments and other post-judgement processes.

  • Maintain and update a detailed register of all judgments and enforcement matters, tracking status, deadlines and outcomes.

  • Assist in coordinating the execution of judgments: lodging enforcement applications, instructing service providers, monitoring asset localisation and seizure, and garnishment processes.

  • Administrative/registry work: manage files, track document movement, schedule court/registry deadlines, and maintain digital & physical archives.

  • Liaise with external/internal advocates, service providers, enforcement agents, courts, registries and clients to ensure timely progress and updates.

  • Draft and review enforcement-related legal documents: letters of demand, notices of execution, attachments, and settlement agreements.

  • Conduct legal research on enforcement procedures, applicable statutes, case law, registry rules, procedures relating to judgment enforcement, garnishments, asset tracing, etc.

  • Monitor debtor compliance, prepare enforcement reports and propose follow-up action.

  • Support the litigation/enforcement team in collection/recovery work: monitoring debtor compliance, preparing reports, assisting negotiations/settlements.

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s policy and professional standards, and maintain confidentiality of client/enforcement matters.

  • Perform hands-on tasks outside the office- Court and Registry Visits, Service of Documents (assist and coordinate service logistics), Enforcement Coordination ( accompany the auctioneer as the Company’s representative or observer), Client & Witness Follow-ups (Visiting clients, witnesses, or debtors to verify compliance with payment terms or settlement schedules, Conducting physical verification of assets or property ownership, Obtaining or confirming addresses for service or attachment)

  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised university.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law preferred (or progress in it).

  • 1-2+ years (or more) of relevant legal work experience — especially in a law firm or legal department handling enforcement/recovery operations.

  • Good knowledge of Kenyan court processes, judgment enforcement rules, and experience liaising with registries and courts.

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • High level of integrity, ability to handle confidential information, and ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience with debt recovery, asset tracing or enforcement of commercial judgments. 

  • Experience working in or with law firms that handle litigation/enforcement.

  • Familiarity with digital and physical filing systems, registers, and litigation diaries.

Production Engineer - Biochar Factory

The Production Engineer will be responsible for the technical performance of our new biochar production
facility in Kakamega. This role focuses on ensuring the factory runs reliably, efficiently, and safely through
strong maintenance systems, equipment optimization, and process improvements. You will lead the site’s
technical team including technicians and maintenance staff, to deliver high uptime, high throughput, and
continuous improvements in performance. Working closely with the Operational Lead, who manages daily
production and crews, you will be the technical backbone of the site, driving problem solving, innovation, and
long-term capacity building.
You will play a crucial role in leading the technical execution of our new biochar factory. Beyond a typical
factory engineering role, in this position you will leave your own fingerprints on the design, ramp-up, and
optimization of the facility, shaping the course of future expansion. The work you do will support Kenya’s
farmers and soils by delivering affordable, high-quality organic inputs, while at the same time removing
thousands of tons of CO2 every year as durable biochar.

Area Sales Manager

To meet our sales targets, we are looking for an experienced and organised Area Sales Manager who will be responsible for generating demand amongst farmers within a defined region, alongside sales associates and commission-based agents. The role involves: closing sales to commercial farmers, developing and driving the performance of a team, and managing day-to-day operations of multiple channels.


Duties and Responsibilities

Set-up and oversee a hub of Evergrow sales and marketing activity

  • Become an expert in the farming activities and characteristics across your hub area
  • Develop a strong partnership with the major distributor(s) in your sales hub
  • Identify and convince local resellers within each ward of the hub, to stock our products
  • Secure shop spaces for ‘Evergrow information centres’ with good visibility and within budget
  • Identify and set-up optimal demo farms owned by influential farmers in strategic areas
  • Recruit and oversee the management of commission-based lead generation agents
  • Resolve issues impacting sales operations

Manage a team of Sales and Marketing Associates selling to small and medium farms​

  • Refer candidates who fit the role criteria and can drive performance for your hub area
  • Run weekly performance dialogues (PDs) with each sales and marketing associate
  • Run monthly or quarterly performance reviews
  • Ensure near 100% adherence to the defined sales processes
  • Conduct frequent field visits to provide coaching and solve problems on the ground
  • Build a team spirit through mutual support and team interactions (virtual or in person)
  • Be the first point of contact for your direct reports (resolve issues or support others in resolving)

Build your own pipeline and close sales to large farms in the area​

  • Identify and build a list of the largest farmers in your hub
  • Secure meetings with the farm decision-makers to pitch the product
  • Build a relationship with the farm decision-makers to push them through the sales funnel
  • Guide the farm owner / manager through the process of setting up any required trials
  • Close sales to the large farms, ensure they repeat buy and increase their purchase amounts

Reporting and admin

  • Weekly reporting of sales, accounts receivables and other performance related metrics
  • Root-cause analyses for performance, as well as developing corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure distributors make payments and place orders in advance to avoid stock-outs
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure distributor orders are processed on time
  • Coordinate with distribution teams to ensure fertilizer is delivered on time and in full

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience selling agri-inputs directly to large commercial farmers
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Qualifications in agronomy or agribusiness will be an added advantage
  • Must have sound knowledge of farming activities in the area of operation
  • Experience managing field teams and / or coaching sales teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Comfortable using tech tools i.e. smartphones, laptops
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable running basic analysis i.e. on performance metrics, cost-benefit analysis for farms
  • Fluent level of spoken and written English, good level of Swahili
  • Able and willing to self-drive (must have a driving license)​
